Women Bible Study
Minister Ruth is a gifted teacher who has taught seminary courses for over ten years. With this experience she leads the women’s Bible study. The women are currently studying through the book of John. Women’s group is more than a Bible study. It is about sharing life together with other women who are seeking intimacy with God and one another. We meet on Saturdays at 1 PM at church.
Higher Ground
Addictions come in many forms. Higher Ground is a Christ centered support group for those with life-controlling issues. All teaching principles in Higher Ground are Scripture-based. Together, we are becoming a new creation through Jesus Christ! (1 Cor. 5:17)
Adult & Teen Sunday School
Moses declared to the Hebrews on the edge of Canaan about the importance of God’s Word. “It is no empty word for you, but your very life.’ (Deut 32:47) Knowing and obeying God’s Word is vital to our spiritual growth. “I have stored up your Word in my heart, that I might not sin again You.” (Ps. 119:11) The relevancy of God’s Word does not fade. Studying it together helps us discover fresh application for today. Pastor Russ (retired) currently leads our adult Sunday School class. Pastor Michael leads the Teens Sunday school class. We look forward to seeing you!
Junior Church (under 12)
Jesus loved children. He taught us to emulate their example of faith (Lk. 18:17). Faith formation begins from childhood. At Jr. Church, our teachers share Bible stories and relate them to fun activities so kids retain it better. Ruth has formed a competent and vetted team of volunteers to teach and care for our church’s children. Thank you for entrusting your little ones to our spiritual care!
Prayer Meeting
Prayer is vital in our faith walk. “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” (Jam. 5:16) God truly hears prayers. He is pleased to answer as we pray according to His will (Jn. 15:7). While we ask things of God, the core motivation is not to receive things from Him but grow in intimacy with Him. In that process He changes our hearts. With this in mind Paul wrote: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understand will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:6-7) It is our vision to become a faith-filled praying church which acts on our Spirit-led convictions. As the great 18’th century Baptist missionary William Carey said:
“Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God!”
